Morning Walk

Morning Walk

On the morning of Thursday, May 1, 2025, I went out for a morning walk. The sky was clear, and the day had the gentle air of early May. I’ve been experiencing some back pain over the past few days. While it’s not getting worse, I’m being careful. For now, I’ll just keep an eye on it and continue walking gently.

During the walk, I thought about the work I’ve been doing lately—renewing my website. Instead of overhauling the entire site, I’ve focused on individual pages for Math Girls. Updates for seven books are mostly done, and I plan to tackle the pages for the full series, the English editions, and the comic versions next. These pages have been long neglected, and I’d like to finally bring them into order.

As part of the renewal, I’ve created a few simple tools that generate web pages from a database. I designed them to allow easy tweaking later on. It’s been a while since I wrote much code, so this kind of hands-on work feels refreshing. I do enjoy simplicity—but once I get started, I sometimes get carried away and make things more elaborate than I intended.

What I’d like to focus on today is preparation for my next book project. I love this phase—before any writing begins—when ideas are still fluid and filled with possibilities. Once writing begins, of course, I have to face reality, and that’s a different kind of challenge.

Along with planning the new book, I also want to organize some old files—especially those related to the Riemann Hypothesis, which I’ve been absorbed in this past year. File maintenance has been on the back burner. I’d like to switch tasks smoothly and keep things in balance. After some quiet reading and study time at my destination, I’ll head back home.
